A Zoom session if anyone interested

PRESENTSTim Boomer:  'Macro Photography - an Exploration of the Miniature World'Monday, 6th October 2025 - 7.00pm (via Zoom)

For our next Zoom session we’ll be welcoming natural history photographer, Tim Boomer from California, who specialises in capturing the intricate details of what he describes as "California's tiny treasures."

Whether it's a rare orchid, a glistening mushroom or a slime mould, so tiny that it can barely be seen, Tim strives to show all of his subjects in their very best light so that the overlooked and undervalued may be enjoyed and celebrated by all.

Tim's photographs have been published internationally in books, magazines and in scientific journals, as well as exhibited at the California Academy of Sciences and various art galleries.

Tim's presentation will cover many aspects of macro photography and is divided into three main parts: Equipment, Techniques and Example Photographs. His talk is not meant to be a step-by-step guide, but more of an introduction and inspiration for anyone interested in macro photography.
