Dear Club Secretary
I now have details of our YPU President, Christine Hodgson’s funeral. It will be held at 1.30pm on Friday 10th October 2025 at Park Wood Crematorium, Park Road, Elland, HX5 9HZ. The family have suggested bright colours would be an appropriate show of respect for those who prefer less sombre attire.
Family flowers only please but donations in Chris’s memory to McMillan Cancer Support would be welcomed. Here is a link: https://www.macmillan.org.uk/
The family have invited those who would like to join them afterwards, to a buffet at the Black Bull, 50 West Street, Lindley, Huddersfield, HD3 3JT. In order to accurately guage numbers would anyone who intends to come to the buffet advise me by email to alan@stopher.me.uk by 26th September at the latest so I can inform Simon and Natalie of the expected numbers from the photographic community. Also please advise me of any dietary/allergy limitations which pertain so that I can relay them.
There have been several messages of condolence from YPU clubs and I will assemble these in time for the funeral so that they can be shared with the family.
